Children's Applies for ANCC Magnet Designation

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta has applied to the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) for the prestigious Magnet designation. The Magnet designation recognizes excellence in nursing services. The ANCC will be visiting our facility in June for a site visit. The site visit is the second step to the application process which initially included completion of an application and submission of patient stories. Magnet status also recognizes the teamwork of staff during the provision of patient care. Radiology is a big part of this care and our staff is proud of the commitment to quality imaging and communication with nursing. We will update you regarding our magnet journey, the site visit and hopefully or designation as a Magnet facility in the coming months.
