3T Compatible Equipment

If your center is considering purchasing a 3T MR system you need to research what clinical items can be purchased that are 3T compatible. Several vendors state that their equipment (stretchers, IV pumps etc) are 3T MRI compatible however, several times Children's has discovered that these items are highly attracted to the 3T magnet. My recommendation is to request the FDA approval letter for the device/item that states it is approved for use with 3T systems. Also, speak with other centers using 3T MR systems and ask what type of equipment they utilize with their patients.
