American College of Radiology Accrediation

The CT department at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite just received American College of Radiology (ACR) accreditation for our 4-slice CT scanner! This accreditation follows the accreditation of our 64-slice CT scanner early in 2007. Children's is pleased and excited that both of our scanners are now accredited and are devoted to continuing our CT image quality program. ACR accreditation is a difficult process, but well worth the effort. Not only are you recognized for your outstanding work, but you develop quality processes that your department continues to follow even after accreditation is obtained. We have found accreditation (and the process of obtaining accreditation) very rewarding.

Comments
Every department that receives the ACR accreditation should be proud of its achievements. It is not so easy to pass and keep up the QC and paper work involved in the whole process. Congratulations on passing and getting your accreditation!
