Pediatric Differential

Working with children is extremely rewarding. Children are much stronger and braver than adults. Working with the kids to get them situated is the easy part; the most challenging aspect is reassuring the parents . The kids are usually the ones who remain calm. For some patients, the fear of being around such large equipment can be overwhelming. At Children's, we make it a priority to explain and show each patient what is going to happen prior to an exam. We want everyone to be comfortable and knowledgeable prior to a scan. My favorite part of working with kids is how incredibly thankful they are for the care and expertise we are able to provide; I feel like I made a difference when I can help make a child smile during an exam.
