Making a Difference

At Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, the radiology department takes very seriously the responsibility of ensuring that patients and their families receive the best care. Children's also strives to offer employees a positive work environment; including continuing education, efficient processes and access to new technology. While it is not always easy to create the perfect environment, the rewards are worth the effort. Most days I feel that I have made a difference, even if small, in the life of a patient, a staff member, a parent or a radiologist. Sometimes even the simple things mean so much--a teddy to a patient, an empathetic ear, the provision of needed supplies, going to get lunch for employees who don't have time to eat.
