the weekly source for radiology professionals

In what kind of setting do you practice? Please describe what it's like working in that kind of setting.
I work in a very busy MRI department located on the ground floor of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. This hospital cares for children from birth to 21 years. I love the autonomy afforded to me in my job. I supervise the department in the afternoon and early evening which allows me the ability to strengthen my leadership skills. I also perform some clinical scans which provides me the opportunity to continue my clinical experience.

What are your greatest professional accomplishments thus far?
Being promoted to Team Leader and receiving my MR certification.

What are your professional goals for the future?
To continue to develop my scanning and leadership skills.

Comments
Can you elaborate on how your facility is handling the new information on MR contrast and NSF/NFD? Especially in your population, you must have patients whose renal function is abnormal - what is your current process/policy?

Thank you, in advance, for your information!

Hello i live in south ga about 4hrs from atlanta. I am also a registered ct tech. But the last year and a half i have been spending my time between ct and mri. What did you use to prepare for your mr registry? I have heard a lot of horrible stories about the mri registry. I cam to atlanta a few months ago and attended an mri confrence at emory by william faulkner. But i don't feel like i'm ready for the mr registry at this time. I have the study module from mti.
