MRI Safety

MRI Safety has become a huge initiative at our center. All patients, families, staff and visitors must complete an MRI Safety Screening Form and be wanded with a ferrous scanner in order to obtain access to the Zone III. Additionally, all staff must complete annual MRI Safety Education. This education is in the form a Computer Based Module however, some areas such as Housekeeping and Security receive one-on-one training from our educators. This process is to ensure that all staff, patients and visitors are safe and is also compliant with the American College of Radiology's MRI safety guidelines.
