Imaging On Call is a full service teleradiology provider based in Poughkeepsie, NY. We currently have 21 radiologists reading studies from home for approximately 60 hospitals and imaging centers. Our business is expanding in several directions and we would welcome a discussion about any or all of the following: - the trend toward daytime and final reads - changes in teleradiology technology requirements - increasing interest in subspecialty reads - the need for more automated customer reporting tools - expansion beyond radiology into other areas of medicine We look forward to hearing from you.


As far as expansion in other areas of medicine… well medicine is there to treat the patient. The patient is our primary customer and the family members. If there is no contact between the physician, or the medical personnel and the patient and the family, can we still provide satisfying service? Medicine is a sort of business, but not quite as every other business, and that is what some forget. The most important factor in medicine is the human factor. Once that is ignored, then it becomes a business just like every other business…
Automated customer reporting tools – that might be the best thing to happen in teleradiology. Every one is happy when as soon as the images are read the referring/ordering physician gets the results and the patient or family is notified immediately. Talk about timely service…this is the new trend and it is great. Get your radiology results the same day within an hour or two after you finished the test, even if it is not stat or a call report.
I couldn't agree with you more with regards to patient care and remembering that we need to dliver top quality care and also compassion for the patient and the family. As teleradiology is one step further removed from face to face contact, this must be adressed by those delivering the service.
I think we will see much more in the area of automated customer reporting tools. Teleradiolgy companies will be held tokeeping contracted comitments and customers will demand on-line tools to make sure that they do.
