Backlight Technology
BarcoView, Kortrijk, Belgium, announces the launch of DuraLight™, a new backlight technology that extends the lifetime of medical LCD displays. Compared to conventional Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamps, DuraLight backlights are prolonged by a factor of three to five without increasing power consumption or compromising visual performance.
DuraLight offers optimal image quality at all viewing angles without reduction of image uniformity. It also has a multi-lamp structure, which inherently offers redundancy.
