Meet Me in Albuquerque
The ASRT heads Southwest

This year's American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT)/Association of Educators in Imaging and Radiological Sciences (AEIRS) Annual Conference provides you with the opportunity to connect with your community and your profession to help you face today's challenges.
The combined annual meeting of the ASRT and the AEIRS, set for June 1-4, in Albuquerque, N.M., is packed with all the information and motivation you need to develop your skills to the fullest. Here are the top four reasons to attend:
- Learning: Continuing education (CE) courses offered this year cover a broad range of topics, from breast cancer risk factors to implementing electronic health records. Whether you're an entry-level technologist or a department manager, the CE opportunities at this year's conference will enhance your job skills.
- Networking: Learning doesn't take place only during the CE sessions. You also can network with peers, share advice and build relationships. Conversations during breaks and at the social events could help you find your next job or lead to the perfect technological solution for your department.
- Value: At only $200 for ASRT and $300 for AEIRS members, ASRT/AEIRS conference registration is a bargain compared with other national meetings. This fee provides you with a comprehensive package that includes admission to all courses, the opening reception, the ASRT President's reception and the ASRT Fellows Elevation ceremony. A special ASRT Governance Package, at just $150, is also available for those wishing to participate in or observe the House of Delegates meeting, chapter meetings and the Installation of Officers and President's Reception. Inexpensive one-day packages also are available for AEIRS members.
- Fun: The excitement starts at the welcoming reception and continues throughout the breaks and social events at the conference. Step into a time warp by purchasing a ticket to the '70s Rock Party, a time to celebrate with friends while raising funds for the ASRT Education and Research Foundation.
Come experience authentic Southwest culture by exploring Albuquerque, the largest city in New Mexico, and its surrounding areas. Visitors can experience the area's natural beauty, spectacular climate, historic attractions, New Mexican cuisine and diverse culture.
With a special conference hotel rate available three days before and after the meeting, attendees have the option to arrive early or stay after to enjoy what New Mexico has to offer.
The conference represents your best opportunity to grow as a professional and connect with your community. On-site registration opens on Friday, June 1, at 1 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Albuquerque and continues daily through June 4.
